After piercing, it can take 1 to 3 days for the bag to become active. CO2 production starts slowly above about 20 °C; 25 to 30 °C and a humidity of 45 to 70% are recommended. If the powder level does not change for 1 to 3 weeks, the bag is too dry: make a cut of about 2.5 cm in the top and add 1 to 10 ml of clean water, 1 ml at a time.
