Hang the bag higher than the plants, but not directly above them, ideally near the air intake, and make sure your extraction does not vent the CO2 straight outside. After piercing, it can take 1 to 3 days for the bag to become active. CO2 production starts slowly above about 20 °C; 25 to 30 °C and a humidity of 45 to 70% are recommended. If the powder level does not change for 1 to 3 weeks, the bag is too dry: make a cut of about 2.5 cm in the top and add 1 to 10 ml of clean water, 1 ml at a time. If water collects in the bag, pierce 2 to 3 holes in the bottom so the moisture can drain. Store unopened bags in a cool, dry place below 18 °C.
