{"title":"Magnetic Ballasts","description":"\u003cp\u003eMagnetic ballasts are the classic way to run an HPS lamp: a simple, sturdy design without sensitive electronics. Right now this collection holds the Platinum Magnetic Ballast 600W. A magnetic ballast is heavier and produces a little more heat and hum than an electronic one, and it can't be dimmed, but many growers value its durability. Mount it outside the tent or on a heat-resistant surface with some air around it. Make sure the wattage matches your bulb. Need dimming or quieter operation?
