The CO2Bag XL was developed to provide extra CO2 over a longer period in larger grow rooms and greenhouses, with no need for electricity, a gas cylinder or a regulator. Inside the bag is a special patented substance that continuously releases CO2 at the right temperature and humidity. With coverage of up to 6 m², the CO2Bag XL is designed for larger tents, grow rooms or small greenhouses and offers around 50% more capacity than the smaller version. It lasts about 2 to 4 months, depending on ventilation, temperature and humidity in the room. Higher CO2 levels can support photosynthesis and have a positive effect on growth and the ripening of flowers and fruit, especially in rooms with little air exchange. Because CO2 is heavier than air, the gas released slowly sinks down to the plants once the bag is in place. Use: before first use, gently shake and knead the bag. Then use a pointed object such as a pencil to pierce several holes (usually 3 to 6) in the top of the bag, through which the substance inside starts releasing CO2. Position the bag above the plants, ideally near the air intake but not directly over a plant. CO2 production starts at temperatures above about 20 °C; the bag works best at 25 to 30 °C and a humidity of 45 to 70%. If the powder level has not dropped over several weeks, the bag may be too dry; in that case, make a small cut and add a little water. If there is too much moisture in the bag, pierce a few holes in the bottom so excess liquid can drain out. The CO2Bag XL is suitable for both the vegetative and flowering stages and works with any growing medium, as it only acts on the air in the room.
