The 10 L pack of Plagron Mega Worm is the handy size for that. It's a natural soil improver made of 100% worm castings from Dendrobaena veneta worms, produced from plant remains that the worms have composted.

What's inside

Mega Worm has a very high organic content plus trace elements, enzymes and minerals, and it contains mycorrhizae. Together they stimulate soil life and create a balanced environment around the roots, which supports germination, root development and early growth. It's suitable for organic cultivation.

How far 10 L goes

Plagron recommends 100–200 litres per 1,000 litres of potting soil, so 10–20% by volume. A 10 L pack therefore improves 50 to 100 litres of potting mix, which is roughly five to nine pots of 11 litres. Outdoors, at 1 litre per 3–5 m², it covers 30 to 50 m² of beds.

In practice

Mix it evenly through the soil before potting rather than layering it on top. Outdoors, work it into the top layer. Keep in mind that Mega Worm contains little directly available nutrition and is not a liquid feed: the soil life gradually converts the organic matter into food for your plants. For a richer mix, combine it with Plagron Supermix, Bat Guano or Calcium Kick.

Specifications

Volume: 10 L

Composition: 100% worm castings (Dendrobaena veneta)

pH (1:1.5): 6.5–7.5

EC (1:1.5): 1.0–1.7 mS/cm
