Harvest & aftercare

How long does drying and curing take?

Short answer

Drying usually takes about 7 to 14 days (7 to 10 is common), until small stems snap instead of bending. Curing in jars often runs another 2 to 4 weeks or more.

Do not go by the calendar; thickness of the flowers and your room humidity change everything. Once the small stems snap, move the flowers into jars filled about three quarters and open them for a few minutes once or twice a day in the first week, then less often. A jar reading around 58 to 62% humidity is a good level.
