Aptus Substrate Buffer Liquid 5 L – calcium pH buffer for grow rooms and large coco set-ups
When substrate pH drops across a whole room, you need to flush dozens of pots or several tables at once, and a small bottle will not cover it. The 5 L can of Aptus Substrate Buffer Liquid is for growers who correct at that scale and want a lower price per litre.
What's inside
A liquid suspension of micronised calcium, free of chlorides, ballast salts and contaminants. The calcium raises a pH that has fallen too low and stabilises it by improving the buffer capacity of the medium, and it also gives plants a steady supply of calcium. Being liquid, it works fast: usually one flush does the job. It suits all media and every stage of the cycle.
Five litres, in flushes
At 20 ml per 10 L (1:500) the can makes 2,500 L of buffer solution. A 200 L flush tank takes 400 ml, so you get about twelve full flushes of that tank from one can.
Working at scale
Test pH on a few representative pots first rather than assuming the whole room is the same. Mix the buffer with plain water only, never with other products, and do not pH-adjust this water. Without measuring, one application a month after planting is the Aptus guideline. Check your drain between applications.
Micronised calcium settles, so shake or roll the can thoroughly before every pour, and store it frost-free.
