Aptus System-Clean 5 L – line cleaner and oxygen boost for large irrigation systems
Long drip lines, dozens of emitters and big reservoirs give biofilm plenty of places to settle. In a grow room or multi-tent set-up, the 5 L can of Aptus System-Clean covers daily dosing and the flushes between cycles at a much lower price per litre.
What's inside
An oxidiser with 8% food-grade hydrogen peroxide and colloidal silver, made for irrigation and drip systems. It removes biofilm, helps keep emitters free of blockages and nutrient build-up, and raises dissolved oxygen in the solution without shifting pH. That means less loss of nutrients and oxygen between the tank and the roots. Aptus calls it essential when running organic boosters such as Startbooster or Topbooster through drippers.
Five litres, in tanks
At 2.5 ml per 10 L, the can treats around 20,000 L of nutrient solution. A 500 L reservoir takes 125 ml per fill, so you get roughly 40 fills, with some left for system flushes.
In a bigger set-up
Add System-Clean last, after pH adjustment and preferably right before irrigation. It works for up to three days in the tank; with larger reservoirs that stand longer, top up with a small extra dose. Do not keep it mixed with organic products for more than two or three days. Between cycles, run water with System-Clean through the whole system to clear the lines before the next crop goes in.
Store the can upright, closed, cool and out of direct sunlight.
