Blue Sticky Traps 10 × 25 cm (10 Pieces): product details and use
Monitoring flying insects with blue sticky traps
Small flying insects such as thrips are often hard to spot in an indoor grow. Blue sticky traps help you keep an eye on what is flying around in your grow room. Unlike the more commonly used yellow sticky traps, which attract a broad range of flying insects such as fungus gnats, whiteflies and aphids, the colour blue is particularly attractive to thrips. The double-sided sticky surface catches flying insects that approach the trap, so you can see at a glance which insects are present and how many. This makes the traps a simple monitoring tool for regular checks in the grow room. Because blue traps attract thrips more specifically than yellow traps, fewer other insects such as beneficials are caught, which makes them easy to use alongside beneficial insects. Use: hang the sticky traps at the height of the upper foliage or slightly above the plant tops in your tent or grow room, or place them on stakes. For regular monitoring, check the traps weekly, for example, and replace them when they are heavily covered or lose their stickiness. They are useful in both the vegetative and flowering stages. The sticky traps work with any growing medium and can be used equally in soil, coco and hydro systems, as they only catch flying insects in the room. Compatibility: the blue sticky traps can easily be combined with yellow sticky traps for broader monitoring, as well as with beneficial insects, as they are chemical-free and do not interact with nutrients or other products.
