In the big 22.71 L drum (6 US gal), King Kola is made for large grow rooms and big irrigation systems, and it gives you the best price per litre for professional use. Emerald Harvest King Kola is a phosphorus- and potassium-rich bloom booster (NPK 0.3-2-3) with plant-based L-amino acids, used next to your base nutrients through flower. The manufacturer says it promotes bigger, denser flowers and supports ripening.
Scale in numbers
The feed chart averages 2 ml per litre over eight weeks, so this drum treats around 11,000 litres of nutrient solution. At the peak of 3 ml/L in weeks 4–5, a 1,000 L mixing tank needs 3 litres.
Dosing a changing schedule
Because the dose changes week by week, a dosing pump with an adjustable ratio is the easiest way to handle it. Set it to about 1 ml/L in week 1, 2 ml/L in weeks 2–3, 3 ml/L in weeks 4–5, 2 ml/L in weeks 6–7 and 1 ml/L in week 8, then stop in the final week. Write the week and ratio on the reservoir so the whole team works from the same plan. Check EC and pH after mixing, and now and then at the dripper.
Handling the drum
A full drum weighs about 25 kg. Use a drum pump or tap to draw off product, keep it closed and store it cool and out of direct light.
