Product description

High Flow Carbon Filter 150 m³ with 100/125 mm flange

The High Flow carbon filter with a capacity of 150 m³/h is a practical way to reduce odours in smaller indoor grow spaces. It is fitted into the extraction system and filters the air passing through it via a bed of activated carbon, where odour compounds are bound to the carbon by adsorption.

With its 100/125 mm flange, the filter connects to matching extraction fans and ducting. Its compact design makes it especially suitable for smaller grow tents, grow cabinets and other setups where space is limited.

Features and benefits

Activated carbon is used in ventilation systems to adsorb odour compounds from the air. This lets the filter reduce the odour in the air extracted from a grow space.

The rated filter capacity of 150 m³/h is an important guide when choosing your extraction fan. The airflow you actually achieve, however, depends on the whole ventilation system. Factors such as fan output, ducting length, bends, static pressure and the filter's own resistance all affect throughput.

For reliable performance, the filter and extraction fan should therefore be matched to each other. Connections also need to be as airtight as possible so that all the exhaust air passes through the carbon.

Use and installation

The carbon filter is mounted in the extraction line and connected to a suitable extraction fan. Use ducting and connectors with a matching 100 or 125 mm diameter. Make sure all connections are secure and airtight.

A carbon filter has no dosage or set frequency of use. Its lifespan depends on factors such as running hours, humidity and the concentration of odour compounds.

If odour control drops off even though the fan is working and the extraction system is airtight, check the condition of the filter. Once the carbon is saturated, the filter needs replacing.

Compatibility

The filter is suitable for extraction systems with a 100 or 125 mm connection. It can be combined with matching extraction fans, ducting and other components of an indoor ventilation system.

As the filter is purely part of the extraction system, it makes no difference whether you grow in soil, coco or hydro. When choosing a fan, consider airflow and system resistance as well as the connection diameter.
