What it does
Hydro Rooting comes from the German Matrix MTX range by Fenix MTX in Gangelt. It is a liquid root stimulator with a high phosphorus content plus added trace elements, built for hydro systems but also usable in soil. The aim is a dense, white root mass in cuttings, seedlings and young plants. As the manufacturer points out, the size and health of the root network have a big influence on what a plant can produce later on.
Dosing a small system
Fenix MTX does not publish a fixed ml/L on its product page; you dose following the Matrix MTX feeding schedule on the label. In a small reservoir, measure with a syringe rather than the cap, because a few millilitres too much makes a bigger difference in 10 or 20 litres than in a 200 L tank.
Shake well, add Hydro Rooting together with your base nutrients during propagation and early veg, and check EC and pH after mixing. For a clean root zone, Fenix recommends combining it with Matrix MTX EnZym.
