Matrix pH- 59% 1 L – concentrated phosphoric acid pH down for nutrient solution
For grow tents and medium-sized grows, a litre of Matrix pH- 59% lasts a long time. This pH-down liquid with 59% phosphoric acid comes from the Matrix MTX line by Fenix MTX (Germany). It corrects the acidity of your water and substrate precisely, and because it's phosphoric acid, it adds a little phosphorus at the same time.
Target values
A correct pH in the root zone keeps nutrients available to the plant. Matrix MTX works with a target of 5.8–6.2 in soil and around 5.8 in hydro and coco. If your tap water is hard, you'll notice you need more; with soft water, a few drops can already shift the pH a lot.
Measuring it out
At 59% this is strong stuff, so don't pour from the bottle into a watering can. Use a pipette or a small syringe and add it in tiny steps. Always mix your nutrients first, then add pH-, stir, wait a moment and re-measure. Repeat until you reach your target. A calibrated pH meter is a must with a concentrate like this.
Safety
The product is corrosive. Wear gloves and eye protection and avoid contact with skin and eyes. After eye contact, rinse with water; after skin contact, wash with soap and water. Store dark, frost-free and between 10 and 25 °C, out of reach of children.
