PE Connector 20 mm – quick straight joint for 20 mm PE supply lines
Many home and mid-size irrigation set-ups run on 20 mm PE pipe, from the pump to a manifold or along a row of pots. This PE connector joins two lengths of 20 mm PE pipe in a straight line, whether you are adding length after moving your reservoir or fixing a line you accidentally cut while trimming.
What it does
The straight coupling keeps the inside of the line open from end to end, so flow to every dripper stays the same after the repair. It is made from sturdy, water-resistant plastic and is built for continuous contact with water and nutrient solution.
How to fit it
Measure first: PE pipe sizes refer to the outside diameter, so your pipe should measure 20 mm across the outside. Cut both ends square, ideally with a pipe cutter, and remove any burrs. Push or tighten the pipe fully into each side of the connector. Then switch on the pump and watch the joint for a minute or two to make sure it stays dry.
Good to know
In a tent or small room a single damaged section can stop the whole feed. A couple of spare 20 mm connectors and a short length of pipe in your toolbox mean you can fix it in minutes rather than waiting for a delivery. For branches and corners, combine it with tees, elbows, end caps and adapters from the same range.
