Why hydro growers use it
Hydro Roots is a purely mineral root stimulator, NPK 0-20-0 with 0.02% boron. Phosphorus and boron drive root initiation, more secondary roots and thicker root hairs, so the plant can take up more water and nutrients. With no organic ingredients it won't clog drippers or pumps, and it combines with Plagron Hydro A & B, Green Sensation and Power Buds.
Scale: 5,000 L of nutrient solution
At 1 ml per litre, 5 L makes roughly 5,000 L of nutrient solution. A 250 L tank needs 250 ml per fill, so the can covers about 20 fresh tanks.
Dosing pump, storage, timing
With tanks of this size, a dosing pump or a set measuring jug keeps every batch the same. Dose from the start of the grow until week three or four of flower, keep the pH at 5.5–6.5, and shake the can before you draw from it. For daily use, pour off a litre into a smaller bottle and store the rest closed and frost-free.
