Plagron Perlite 10 L – perlite to air up your soil, small-tent size
Your soil stays wet too long, or you want a lighter mix for a few pots? A 10 L bag of perlite is the easy fix for a small tent or a handful of containers.
What 10 L mixes
At 10–35% perlite in the final mix, 10 L is enough for about 30 to 100 L of airy substrate. At a typical 25%, that's around 40 L of mix, which fills three 11 L pots with some left over.
What it is
Plagron Perlite is 100% perlite: baked volcanic rock, grain size 0–6 mm. Mixed into soil it gives the root zone a better water/air ratio, so roots get oxygen and excess water drains away quickly. With an EC of 0.0–0.1 mS/cm it has no influence on your feed, it's germ-free with the RHP quality mark, and you can also use it on its own as a hydro medium.
Mixing tips
Moisten the perlite slightly before you mix it in to keep dust down, and mix in a tub or on a tarp rather than straight in the pot. More perlite means faster drainage and more oxygen, but also that you'll need to water a little more often.
