Large reservoirs on soft or RO water need pH correction in every batch. The 5 L can is the economical choice for that, at well under the price per litre of the 500 ml bottle.
Handling 5 L
Don't dose straight from a full 5 L can into your tank: pour a working amount into a small dropper bottle or measuring cup first. That gives you the same control as with a small bottle and keeps spills to a minimum. If you use a pH controller with a dosing pump, the can can serve as its reservoir; check the doser's tubing regularly.
What it does
Plagron pH+ (25%) is a concentrated pH up that brings your nutrient water into the range of pH 5.5–6.5. At that pH your plants take up nutrients in the right proportions, which supports steady growth in veg and bloom. It's a 25% solution (NPK fertiliser 0-0-25), works with every irrigation system and comes with a child-safe cap.
Correcting large tanks
Mix your nutrients first, then add pH+ drop by drop and stir until your meter or strips read 5.5–6.5. How much you need depends on your water and nutrients, so always measure. Don't use it to correct an overdose of pH Min, as that changes the NPK of your feed, and wear gloves. In a big tank, add a small amount, let it circulate for a few minutes and measure again before adding more, as pH shifts take a moment to even out. Store the can closed, upright and out of reach of children.
