Plagron pH- (59%) 500 ml – concentrated pH down for home grows
Tap water in many regions comes out of the tap at pH 7 or higher, and most base nutrients do not bring it down far enough. For one or two tents, a 500 ml bottle of Plagron pH- (59%) usually lasts one or two full cycles, depending on how hard your water is.
What it does
This strong, concentrated pH down lowers the pH of your nutrient water to the ideal range of 5.5–6.5. In that range plants take up nutrients in the right proportions, which supports their metabolism and steady growth in both veg and bloom. The composition is listed as NPK fertiliser 0-43-0, at a 59% concentration, so a little goes a long way. It works in every phase and with all irrigation systems.
Dosing drop by drop
Shake the bottle and mix your nutrients first. Then add pH- drop by drop, stir and measure with a pH meter or strips until you reach 5.5–6.5. In a 10 L watering can you often need only a few drops, so go slowly; overshooting is easy with a 59% product. Note how much you used for your water and nutrient combination, and you will have a reliable starting point next time.
Safety
Wear gloves and keep the bottle out of reach of children; the child-safe cap helps with storage in the grow room. Do not use pH- to correct an overdose of pH Plus, as that changes the NPK value of your feed. Just mix a fresh batch instead.
