Plastic Plant Stick 1500 mm – long, rot-proof support for tall plants and greenhouses

Tall, stretchy plants, vigorous outdoor plants, tomatoes in a greenhouse or anything in a large pot that keeps stretching: that is where the extra length of the 1500 mm plastic plant stick pays off.

Length in practice

With 20 cm pushed into the substrate, around 1.3 m remains above the pot. Planting in the ground or a raised bed, push it in deeper, 30 cm or so, for a stable footing and you still have about 1.2 m to tie to. Indoors, measure first: in a 2 m tent, a stick this long plus a tall pot can bring the tip close to your lamp, so it suits rooms with more ceiling height best.

Built to last

The sticks have a steel core with a plastic coating, so they do not rust, do not rot in wet soil like bamboo and do not splinter. The roughened surface helps ties stay in place. Rinse them after harvest, let them dry and store them for the next season. That makes them cheaper over time than disposable supports.

Tying tall plants

With longer stems, spread the load: one tie low on the main stem, one halfway, and more near the top as flowers or fruits get heavy. Use soft ties or clips and leave some slack so the stem can thicken. For very heavy side branches, a second stick on the other side of the pot helps balance the plant.
