Sonodec Sonoconnect 315 mm x 5 m – shorter acoustic duct for 315 mm fans
Not every set-up needs ten metres. If your grow room sits next to an outside wall, or you only want to quieten the section right after the fan, a 5 m roll of 315 mm Sonoconnect does the job without leftovers.
Using 5 m well
The stretch directly behind the fan is usually the loudest, so that's where insulated duct makes the most audible difference. Five metres covers a compact exhaust run from filter to outlet, or a dedicated intake line next to an existing exhaust.
What's in the wall
Sonodec Sonoconnect is a flexible duct with acoustic and thermal insulation: a micro-perforated aluminium/poly inner hose, a diffusion- and dust-tight barrier and 25 mm glass wool under an aluminium/poly laminate jacket. Sound is absorbed before it leaves the duct, and the insulation limits condensation when warm, humid air meets cooler surroundings. Rated from -30 to +140 °C.
Fitting tips
Check the 315 mm diameter against your fan, carbon filter and flanges. On a short run, a single tight bend costs relatively more airflow, so route it in gentle curves. To cut it, pull back the insulation, cut through the inner hose and outer jacket, then pull the insulation back over. Seal each end with aluminium tape and a hose clamp.
