Don't blast it straight at the plants. You want the leaves to move slightly, not whip around. Point it above the canopy or at an angle, and a gentle, steady flow is plenty.

Do I need a fan inside the grow tent as well?
Short answer
Yes. A small oscillating fan keeps the air moving between the leaves, strengthens stems and stops damp pockets.
