Beginners tend to forget the small items: a timer, pH and EC meters, a clip fan, a few litres of pH adjuster. They add up. The fastest way to see the real total for the big items is to open a complete kit, which bundles tent, light and ventilation. Then add medium, nutrients and pots.
Then there is electricity. A 200 W LED on 18 hours a day uses about 3.6 kWh daily, and on 12 hours about 2.4 kWh. Multiply by your own tariff and you have the running cost. Efficient lamps matter more than they look on the box.
