Do I need an inline fan, or is a clip fan enough?

Short answer

You need both. The inline fan swaps the air in the tent, the clip fan only stirs the air that is already there.

A clip fan alone never brings in fresh air, so heat, humidity and CO2 depletion build up, and you have no odour control. An inline fan alone leaves still pockets among the leaves, where mould likes to start.

Get an inline fan for the exchange and a clip fan for circulation, for example the Dutch Masters oscillating clip fan.
