Ventilation & odour

How long does a carbon filter last, and when do I replace it?

Short answer

Manufacturers commonly quote about one to two years, but replace it when you smell odour again, whatever the calendar says.

The carbon gets used up faster in warm, humid air or with a lot of dust. A clean pre-filter sleeve on the outside and dry air coming in help it last. Some people swap the carbon sooner for plants that smell strongly.

Find a replacement among the carbon filters.
