Lighting

Can I dim my LED grow light, and when should I?

Short answer

Yes, if the driver is dimmable. Dim it for seedlings and cuttings, for hot spells, or to save power.

Dimming helps in three situations. Young plants need less light, so you start low and turn up as they grow. In summer it lowers the heat load. And when you see signs of too much light, you can ease off without moving the lamp.

Check that the lamp has a dimmer. The LEDMAXPRO 300 W is dimmable. Compare other models in LED grow lights.
