How many plants can I grow under one LED lamp?

Short answer

It comes down to the lamp's coverage area, not a fixed number. A 300 W LED covers about 80x80 to 90x90 cm in flower, which is room for one to four plants.

Two or three trained plants usually fill that area better than four crowded ones. In veg the lamp can cover a wider area, because plants are small and need less light, so a bigger footprint is possible before you flip to flower.

Check the coverage the manufacturer states for veg and for flower, and look for a PPFD map. See LED lights for grow tents and compare coverage before you buy.
