Are quantum boards better than other LED grow lights?

Short answer

Not automatically. Quantum boards are efficient, evenly spread and run silent, but a good panel or bar can match them. Judge a lamp on efficiency and PPFD.

Their strength is a wide, even spread of many small diodes on a large heat sink, without a fan. That keeps them quiet and means fewer parts to fail. The downside is size and weight, and you need free space above for air to cool them.

Don't buy on the shape. Compare efficiency in µmol/J, PPFD maps and coverage. Have a look at the quantum boards and compare them with other LED lights.
