Medium & pots

What size pot do I need?

Short answer

Autoflowering varieties usually do well in 7 to 15 L. Photoperiod plants are commonly grown in 11 to 20 L, depending on how big you let them get.

Pot size should match the plant. A big pot with a small plant stays wet and invites root problems, and many growers transplant in steps (seedling pot, then a mid size, then the final pot). Bigger pots need less watering, but are heavy to move.

Examples: a round 10 L pot or a square 11 L pot. More pots.
